Despite few artist such as Skepta, Stormzy, Stefflon Don, Giggs and Dizzee Rascal being able to generate a fanbase in America, for the most part UK artist have struggled to break into the American industry and truly achieve global success. However this slowly is changing in the social media/ internet age.

This is good look for upcoming UK talent as it helps build and promote their brand, by being put on a list with artist from other sides of globe; as well as it being hosted by an american company definitely will increase the artist reach internationally. However it is important to acknowledge that not many people watch award shows any more, so this will not break necessarily break UK artist into the American Industry. Furthemore award shows such as MOBO awards are far more relevant in the UK, so this will not necessarily expand their reach in the UK either.
