COMMUNITY

What we want to do for our community?

Frontline Media exists to fill a critical gap in today’s media landscape, where youth, diasporic, and BAME communities—especially the Black/African diaspora—are too often underrepresented by traditional broadcasters and print outlets. By leveraging alternative, digital‑first platforms alongside cutting‑edge marketing, advertising, and promotion strategies, we deliver professional creative services that authentically reflect minority and youth cultures.

Our core audiences—Gen Z and Millennials (18–35), BAME/BIPOC communities, creatives, students, activists, and multicultural Londoners—will find in Frontline a network that truly understands their stories and values. Unlike legacy media and niche urban channels that either skirt digital innovation or confine themselves to music and entertainment, we combine global connections and transnational storytelling across news, film, music, photography, and art to create a holistic, inclusive media ecosystem.

We recognise the urgent need for independent, digitally native outlets that counter stereotype‑driven narratives and dismantle misinformation. Through web‑first storytelling, social engagement, and interactive formats, Frontline Media amplifies minority voices, champions cross‑cultural dialogue, and builds inclusive creative spaces—freeing community members from traditional gatekeepers and equipping them with the tools to tell their own stories. Moreover, we go beyond entertainment to deliver the journalism and media services our communities urgently need, ensuring accurate, culturally sensitive coverage that empowers residents and holds local institutions accountable.

Frontline Media, we are committed to building strong connections with both local and international communities, with a particular focus on the African diaspora. We collaborate with businesses across the UK and abroad, and are proud to be working alongside the Nyan-Ko-Pong: Sovereign Maroon Government.

Our community efforts begin in North and Northwest London, starting with the London Borough of Barnet, where we aim to partner with local councils and organisations. We provide media coverage, entertainment, and news tailored to the community, while also hosting cultural events, investing in local talent, and supporting emerging artists.

Through our platform, we offer media training, workshops, and employment opportunities in fields such as filmmaking, journalism, and post-production—empowering residents with creative and professional skills to thrive in the media industry.

INFASTRUCTURE

Frontline Media, with Threefold Studios, operates across both physical and digital infrastructure to support our growing network. This includes our website, in-house studio space, and social media platforms, all of which serve as key channels for our content and community engagement.

Through our collaboration with the Nyan-Ko-Pong: Sovereign Maroon Government, we have been granted an access agreement/wayleave to larger facilities in North London for expanded media production/work related to community and government/diplomatic work, and we plan to secure a dedicated studio space in Brent Cross in the near future.

Our vision goes beyond London. Frontline is committed to investing in and developing creative spaces on the African continent, including media houses, production studios, and news bureaus built from the ground up.

On the digital front, we are actively expanding our infrastructure by developing a new website, mobile application, and streaming platform, while also exploring growth into technology and telecommunications through affiliated ventures.

FACILITIES

Frontline Media is in the process of relocating to Oxgate House, Brent Cross — a dynamic creative hub located at Oxgate Lane, London NW2 7FT. Originally a cigarette factory, Oxgate House was converted in 2020 into a vibrant space now housing 190 studio units ranging from 70 to 5,500 sq ft from 165/pcm - £1,980 per year. It offers natural light, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, onsite parking, outdoor communal areas, and a thriving creative community, including e-commerce businesses, production kitchens, artists, designers, and content creators. This new facility will be key to our growth, providing the infrastructure to host productions, training, and events at scale.

In addition to Oxgate House, Frontline Media has been granted an access agreement/wayleave by the Nyan-Ko-Pong: Sovereign Maroon Government to larger facilities in North London, specifically in Southgate and Potters Bar. These spaces are earmarked for transformation into fully equipped media studios and will require renovation, decoration, and the installation of professional production equipment.

We also operate from our existing home studio in Barnet, which includes a recording suite, streaming bedroom, and access to a mansion property that can be used for filming through scheduled bookings.

Internationally, Frontline Media is expanding into West Africa. Plans are underway to rent a studio in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, for £15,500 per year, as a temporary base while we prepare to build a custom media facility on land already owned by the founder. This future development will include purpose-built studios, creative workspaces, and production infrastructure to serve the growing creative industry across the African continent.

To realise Frontline Media’s next stage of physical expansion—across London and West Africa—we estimate a total funding requirement between £200,000–£500,000, depending on the level of renovation and infrastructure investment.

TRAINING & EDUCATION

`In recent years, young people across the UK have faced shrinking opportunities and rising challenges: over 1,243 council‑run youth centres have closed since 2010, stripping vital safe spaces from communities unison.org.uk, while council spending on youth services in England has fallen by 73% over the same period cypnow.co.uk. Today’s UK unemployment rate is 4.5%, and in London it stands at 6.2%—well above the national average ons.gov.ukcy.ons.gov.uk. These cuts correlate with a 23% rise in youth‑related violent incidents in areas where services have closed yuaf.org, and ongoing food inflation of 4.4% in May 2025 is squeezing household budgets even further thetimes.co.uk.

Frontline Academy: Skills for the Future

Frontline Media, in partnership with the Nyan‑Ko‑Pong: Sovereign Maroon Government and Barnet Council, is launching Frontline Academy to directly address these challenges:

  • Accessible Courses: A blend of free and paid online classes, covering directing, videography & cinematography, journalism, editing, photography, and more—designed for learners at every level and accessible on any device.

  • In‑Person Workshops & Bootcamps: Hands‑on training at our North London facilities (Oxgate House and future Cricklewood studio) and Maroon Government studios in Southgate and Potters Bar, offering intensive, practical sessions.

  • Structured Internships: We will recruit and mentor interns, supporting them through external qualifications (RISC training, London Film Academy short courses, National Qualification in Journalism) alongside our in‑house training and real‑world project experience.

  • Employment Pathways: Upon completion, participants will be primed for paid roles within Frontline Media’s production teams and partner organisations, ensuring a smooth transition from learning to earning.

  • Community Impact: By equipping residents with professional media skills, Frontline Academy aims to reduce unemployment and antisocial behaviour, reignite community hubs, and provide positive alternatives for young people during the ongoing cost‑of‑living crisis.

  3. HITWAY BK17 Dual‑Battery Electric Bike (£999.99)

    • Specs: 250 W hub motor (70 Nm), two 48 V × 13 Ah batteries (80–150 km range), 20 × 4 in puncture‑resistant tires, front suspension, LCD display, hydraulic disc brakes.

    • Use Cases: Perfect for interns, trainees, or community liaisons without a motorcycle licence—after completing a CBT if they wish to upgrade. These bikes will be branded with Frontline Media livery, fitted with portable speaker kits and LED lighting, serving both as transport and mobile marketing units.

Why Transport Matters for Media

  • Location Access & Timeliness: Whether chasing an impromptu community gathering in Barnet or scheduling shoots in remote North London facilities, reliable transport ensures our teams arrive on time with all necessary equipment.

  • Versatility: From the OB van’s full broadcast capabilities to the motorcycles’ off‑road agility and e‑bikes’ nimble city navigation, each vehicle fills a unique operational niche.

  • Community Engagement & Visibility: Branded vehicles double as moving billboards, raising awareness of Frontline Media’s workshops, events, and services as they traverse neighbourhoods.

  • Sustainability & Inclusion: Electric bikes reduce our carbon footprint and allow participation by those without full licences, making our training and outreach more inclusive and environmentally responsible.

By strategically deploying these vehicles, Frontline Media enhances the quality, reach, and impact of our journalism, production services, and community initiatives—delivering cutting‑edge media wherever it’s needed.

International Travel & Deployment Budget

As part of our commitment to global storytelling and transnational media production, Frontline Media is allocating a dedicated travel budget to support international projects—including film shoots, location scouting, journalism, documentaries, and networking events. This will ensure we can safely and efficiently deploy team members across borders for creative and journalistic missions.

To maximise safety, cost-effectiveness, and opportunity, we aim to partner with trusted travel agents, airlines, tourism boards, ministries of travel, embassies, and cultural institutions. These partnerships may include sponsorships, media collaborations, or subsidised logistical support. The ability to operate internationally is vital to our mission of capturing authentic narratives from diasporic and Global South communities, and this travel infrastructure will help us do so with professionalism and agility.

Equipment

Frontline Media currently operates with £67,648 of professional-grade gear. As we expand into new facilities—both in North London and overseas—we will need to further invest in kit to ensure fully commercial capabilities. Our next priority upgrades include:

  • Sony FX3 for high‑ISO, cinematic run‑and‑gun shooting

  • Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro for flexible, broadcast‑quality workflows

  • Canon C400 for advanced ENG and documentary production

  • DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for ultra‑compact handheld gimbal captures

  • Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced Wireless Transmitter & Receiver & Monitor (3‑in‑1, SDI/HDMI, 450 ft LOS range, 0.08 s latency) for seamless on‑set wireless video transmission

  • DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone for aerial cinematography

  • Heavy‑Duty Outdoor Portable Battery to power equipment reliably in remote or off‑grid locations

Looking ahead, we plan to invest in an ARRI Alexa package once our team is fully trained on high‑end cinema workflows; until then, we will budget for short‑term rentals to meet premium production requirements.
